the washing up
In the bath they go not only to steam, but also to wash themselves. Washing in the bath can be divided into three parts. The first part - washing immediately after coming to the bath, before paired procedures. Many go to the bath with a pretty solid stock of dirt and disease germs on the skin. American bacteriologist T. Rosberi in the book "Human life" writes that on the surface of the human body can act intensively up to 15 trillion microbes! And for 1 cm2 of skin can be "based" up to 40 thousand pathogens. A person who does not care about the purity of his skin, strangles himself. Dirt, microorganisms irritate the skin, it loses its bactericidal qualities, elasticity, becomes sluggish, and then microorganisms organize a powerful attack on a person: inflammation, suppuration, most often caused by staphylococci( scientists called them "plague of XX century").Hygienists came to the conclusion that every fourth patient is to some extent a victim of a violation of hygiene. Healthy, clean skin disease-causing microbes( at least most of them) are not terrible. The skin of a man is a mirror of his healthy
vya. Even the ancients derived the formula that thorough personal hygiene is the basis until the end of the year. The German hygienist M. Petenukher stressed "Compliance with hygienic rules should drive the development of a person more perfect, its decay is less rapid, life is stronger, death is more remote."i
Our great scientist, Nobel laureate II Mechnikov, who worked at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, comparing the life expectancy of previous generations with his contemporaries, came to the conclusion: "Prolonging life should be attributed, of course, to the progress of hygiene."Mechnikov stressed that the purity of the body, achieved in the simplest way, by the simplest means, such as simple washing with soap, should serve in a large scale to reduce morbidity and mortality. Mechnikov goes on to write: "If hygiene, even so poorly developed as it was until later, still contributed to the prolongation of life, then we have reason to believe that with its further development it will be much more effective in this respect."
A sensational statement was made by the American doctor D. Schreider: "A person can extend his life for at least 10 years, if only he can maintain a certain standard of purity in his immediate environment."
So, a person going to the bath, carries a "gift" in the form of 15 trillion disease-causing germs. And what does he need to do to free himself at least partially from this scum and not reward other visitors to the bath? The answer is unambiguous: came to the bath, wash it though
would partially this dangerous ballast. That is, we have in mind the first part of washing in a bath. You can do this using the pelvis, but it's best to stand under the shower. Thus, you will be freed from germs and warm up the body, prepare it for entering the steam room. At the first washing in a bath it is not necessary to wet a head, as in a steam room it is necessary to go only with a dry head. Before entering the steam room, you also need to warm up your legs, that is, hold them for a while in warm water.
After the first call in the steam room, you should rinse in the shower and usually thereafter followed by an easy massage for 15-20 minutes( as will be discussed below).But the massage is not always used. After a short rest, they begin the main bath-washing of the body. However, before this, it is not bad after the steam room( and after the shower) to luxuriate in the bath. As A. Galitsky writes: "You lie to yourself quietly, rest, and the water" works "for you-takes everything that is unnecessary, which cleanses hot steam from the skin. He got out of the bath, washed himself with a tub of rather hot water - and for washing. "
The washing process is a purely individual matter, worked out by everyone for themselves, and you can give recommendations here only of a general nature:
• it is better not to soap up the washcloth with soap and dilute soap foam in the pelvis;
• it is recommended to add several birch leaves to the pelvis with foam( if you bathe with a birch broom) - this is done not only for the aroma, but also because these leaves benefit the skin;
• a loofah should be chosen according to your taste, in any case, it should not be too hard, but not very tender. The scourer is called
to heal such skin treatment, in which the skin becomes almost "new";
• soap is recommended not as horrible, but in wide circular movements clockwise. Soaping, you make and massage the body, it becomes pink;
• thoroughly soaping, pour the body first hot, then cool, then again with hot water.
Particular attention during washing in a bath is given to some separate parts of the body.
So when treating the face, you should apply a contrast, that is, first you should dip your face in hot water( moderately hot), then in a cold, and then again in hot water and so repeat several times. This massage of the vessels makes the skin of the face elastic, gentle.
Special attention is paid to the legs. For them in the bath, usually designed oval pelvis. Once you have come from the steam room to the soap compartment, you should immediately pour a slightly sodden water into the pelvis, adding a pinch of soda to it, dropping the legs into it, and while you are washing, the horny layer on the soles will soften and with pumice it can be easily removed withfeet.
The head in the bath is washed last. It is recommended to dilute a soap foam in the pelvis( it is best to use shampoo, especially with a fairly thick head of hair) and lower your head into this foam. The water should be soft, since it is impossible to wash the head well in hard water: the hair remains "greenish-white"( it is lime materials that are riddled with hard water).To soften water it is possible very simple way: in a basin with water it is necessary to add a teaspoon of drinking soda.
It is not recommended to wash your head in too hot water( this water irritates the hair roots).Under normal conditions, the head should be washed once a week. If circumstances contribute to the rapid contamination of the head, it is washed as necessary.
During washing, the head is well to massage. Putting his thumbs on his temples, the rest of his fingers rubbing his head in circular motions.
Fatty hair is well washed with mustard - one and a half to two teaspoons of dry mustard on a basin of water. It is good to wash your hair with infusion of nettle, but in this case, do not use soap. In general, hair can sometimes be washed and without soap, using, for example, infusion of birch leaves.
Recently, more often in the bath for washing the head( and the whole body) use infusions and decoctions of some plants. For example, to wash the head of our ancestors for ages used the infusion of chamomile: it improves hair growth, removes dandruff. By the way, the broth of chamomile is an excellent tool for rinsing the body and facial skin.
This ends the basic washing. After that, the person enters the steam room 2-3 times more, and after the pairing procedures the body is finally washed under the shower, the moisture is removed with a towel, and when the body and head dry, you can go home.
