Topiary with your own hands for beginners: a step-by-step photo on making a coffee tree

What is a topiary? The topiary is either a figuratively trimmed hedge( which is also very interesting, but not within the framework of this master class), or an original small tree made of natural( and not so) materials. Moreover, since the work on the topiary is creative, it does not have to resemble any of the existing trees. But these man-made trees look really fabulous! See photos:

Just a find for those who do not like houseplants, and they, in turn, pay reciprocity. In addition, it does not need to water or remove dried leaves and stems. In this master class, we will look at a step-by-step creation of a topiary for beginners with our own hands on the example of such a simple coffee tree.

    Materials:

    1. Coffee beans.

    2. Plastic flowerpots.

    3. Ball - blank( made of paper or plastic).

    4. Plastic tube for the trunk.

    5. Glue gun( or simply glue, but with a gun it will be much more convenient).

    6. Scissors.

    7. Double-sided adhesive tape.

    8. Satin ribbon.

    9. Alabaster.

    10. Capacity for mixing alabaster.

    11. Nylon tape.

    Work progress:

    1. We glue the workpiece of the crown with coffee beans: take the seed, turn the strip down and glue it.

The workpiece can be a ball of suitable size, a Christmas ball, or a ball of tightly twisted newspapers. You can also cut out the shape of a floral sponge or foam.

    2. Fully glue the ball.

    3. Now turn the coffee strip up and apply a second layer of grains. Apply them so that through the second layer you can see the first one - the crown will add to the aesthetics.

    4. The result is a lovely ball of coffee.

You can glue grains with a "butt".Then the crown will acquire a completely different form.

    5. The crown is ready, we pass to the trunk of an improvised tree - we wrap a little obliquely with a double-sided adhesive tape, a plastic tube, and from the top and from the bottom of the tube we retreat about 3-4 cm. Again, instead of a plastic tube, you can use a pencil, a twig of wood, a wireand everything that you will remotely resemble a tree trunk.

    6. We attach the satin ribbon over the scotch.

    7. That's what the trunk of the coffee tree should look like:

    8. And now we'll fill in the "foundation" of the topiary. Pour water into the pot, about as much as about 3 cm from the edge.

    9. We pour water into the mixing tank for alabaster( in this master class - bucket) and add the alabaster, stirring intensely. In the end, we get something similar in consistence to sour cream.

    10. We pour alabaster into the pot, then quickly, but gently insert the barrel.

Tip: the success of the composition is 50% dependent on the correct, harmonious plant. Do not be too lazy to decorate it with decoupage or decorate with the same grains. You can use suitable cups instead of pots or small buckets from food. The main thing, do not forget to wrap it with sackcloth or a beautiful cloth.

    11. Let's wait until the alabaster freezes. Do not be lazy to check it( the alabaster must be dry), otherwise you can ruin such a wonderful composition!

    12. Remember how we made the crown? Repeat the same steps: first glue the layer of coffee stripes down.

    13. And then the next - stripes up.

    14. Now let's squeeze some glue on the tube and glue the crown. Make sure that the crown was glued in the center, as in the photo:

    15. Final touch - we tie a tape on organza on topiary.

The coffee tree is ready! A pleasant aroma, lack of care and from the leaves of this tree will never come off color!
