The history of the parchment began in the 14th century in Europe, when parchment paper became widely used with the invention of printing. At first the technique was used to decorate the fields of church books, theological treatises, communion cards. However, with the proliferation of printed books in a secular environment, this technique also spread.

A new impetus in the secular environment was the promotion of such literary styles as sentimentalism, and later - romanticism. During this period young men and girls decorated the fields of their favorite books and diaries with various drawings and patterns.

The art of parchment was brought also by Catholic nuns to South America, where they taught him children in schools and boarding schools. Materials and tools

Paper for pergamano - tracing paper, density not less than 150 g / m2.If you choose the usual tracing paper that is sold in the stationery store, please note that it is very easy to pierce and tear, so it requires a very careful attitude to yourself, and for some works it is generally unsuitable.

To translate a picture onto paper, you need a white pencil or a pen with white ink.

A normal mouse pad is suitable for use.
