Job description of the nurse of the intensive care unit

I. General part

The nurse of the intensive care unit is assigned a person with a secondary medical education that has received special training. Appointed and dismissed chief physician of the hospital but agreed with the head of the department in accordance with applicable law. Directly submits to the doctor-resuscitator and senior nurse of intensive care unit. In his work is guided by the orders of higher officials.

II.Responsibilities of

1. Carries out care and monitors the condition, physiological functions, sleep of patients in the intensive care unit.

2. Timely and accurately fulfills the appointment of a resuscitator, in case of failure, regardless of the cause, immediately reports this to the treating resuscitator.

3. Counts the pulse, breathes, measures the daily amount of urine, phlegm, etc., puts these data on the surveillance map.

4. Immediately informs the attending physician-resuscitator about the sudden deterioration of the patient's condition.

5. Produces blood from the vein for biochemical studies, delivers it to the laboratory.

6. Conducts a complex of primary resuscitation measures.

7. Surrenders at the bedside of patients.

8. Prepare corpses of the deceased for transfer to the morgue.

9. Raises its professional qualification by studying medical literature, attending scientific and practical conferences for nurses and participating in the competition for the title "Best in profession".

III.Rights

The nurse of the intensive care unit is entitled to:

1. Obtain information necessary for the performance of their duties.

2. To increase their professional qualification in the courses of qualification improvement in the established order.

3. To make suggestions to the senior nurse of the department on improving the organization and conditions of their work.

IV.Liability

Responsible for fuzzy or untimely performance of duties stipulated by internal labor regulations of the hospital.
