Bead birch: master class for beginners with step-by-step photos
Slavs considered the birch a symbol of strength, fertility and a new life. It is the birch tree for every Russian person that is the reflection of the soul, the personification of Russia. We propose to lodge this piece of national pride in our house. Today on the agenda of a birch from a bead: the master class is calculated for beginners.
First we suggest you decide which tree you want to weave. It can be a winter birch, as if covered with snow, made of white or silver beads.
Or a bright and juicy autumn birch, woven with orange, yellow and golden beads.
We, however, want to show you how to make a bead from spring beads, embodying the birth of life.

In our master class we will weave a small birch, about 25 cm high. To grow a tree, you just need to use more beads, wires and other materials. Schemes of weaving will remain the same.
Materials for weaving:
- Beads( bright, light green color) №10;
- Decorative beads( grass, flowers) green, pink, yellow;
- Wire 0,3 mm;
- Copper wire is thicker( for the trunk);
- Threads( mulina, green color);
- Adhesive PVA;
- Alabaster;
- A small piece of plasterboard( stand);
- Primer;
- Gypsum;
- Black and white paint( acrylic).
Making birch:
So, let's get to work.
Weaving the base of the birch tree:
1) We take a wire about 30-40 cm long( we take different lengths for each branch, because the branches must differ in size - this will be more realistic).Therefore, for the first branch, take a wire of 40 cm and thread it 8 beads, bend into the loop and twist about 6-7 turns.
2) Again string 8 beads on one of the tips of the line, and again twist, connecting with the other tip:
3) Do the same at the other end of the wire, and continue until we get the right number of leaves, or untilthe wire will end.
4) After all the leaves are woven, the ends of the wire are twisted, the excess is cut off. Such twigs, we need to weave as much as possible, the main thing is that their number is a multiple of 3. The more branches, the nicer, more splendid your birch will be. We have weaved 33 branches.
5) We begin to twist the branches of birch into larger ones. We need to twist one triple of the three single twigs, and so with all 33 branches:
6) Now we form the future crown of our birch tree, for this we need to take three triple twigs and twist them together:
7) Next, form the trunk of the birch. For this we need a thick copper wire. It should be folded in half, as in the photo, and fasten the branches to the ends of the wire:
8) Then the copper wire is twisted, and we get the stem base:
9) We still have triple twigs. We take one of them and we fasten the copper wire to it, and then we tie it to the trunk( closer to the top, so that the tree is not stubby).
10) Shave another top of the three triple branches and fasten it just below the first tip:
11) Now we need to twist a branch of 5 single twigs - it fastens to the trunk below. Than the other branches:
All the remaining twigs are also weaved in 5 pieces and are attached to the trunk.
We have a basis for future birch, therefore, we turn to decorating.
Decoration of birch:
1) We take the green threads of the mulina, and wind the barrel and twigs, previously smeared with PVA glue, onto the wire. Winding must be tight, without gaps:
2) We prepare the stand for the birch. We take drywall and cut out a piece of it in the desired shape. We ground, we put plaster on the support and plant a birch in it.
When it's a little dry, we put a wire around the base with gypsum.
3) Mix the gypsum with the PVA glue in the ratio 1: 1, add a little water, and the resulting solution spreads the trunk of the tree, trying to give it a more natural look.
4) After the solution has solidified, apply a thin layer of black paint, and after it - a thin layer of white paint.
5) As soon as the paint dries, cover the stand with a layer of PVA glue and pour green beads on it - so we get grass at the roots of the birch.
6) For decorating the foot, small flowers of beads, about 3 pieces, will work well.
To install them in the stand, you need to do a small hole in it, fill it with PVA glue and stick a flower. And so with all the flowers.
As you can see, the work was at least laborious, but not complicated at all. This birch comes from beads for beginners: the scheme and the weaving itself are quite simple.
We suggest you also familiarize yourself with an interesting video lesson on weaving birch beads.
