Dysthymia
pathologically reduced, depressed mood. There is no reason. The surrounding is perceived as gloomy, unpromising. Often dysthymia is the cause of suicidal thoughts and attempts. Obligatory symptom of a depressive disorder. Requires immediate assistance from a psychiatrist, possibly hospitalization.
Euphoria
benign, carefree, carefree, pathologically elevated, inadequate mood to irritation. All surrounding is seen through rose-colored glasses, there is an unbreakable optimism. Even the tragic moments of life are perceived super joyously. The terminal stage of malignant tumors and many other mental( for example, manic syndrome) and somatic diseases are accompanied by this symptom. Dysphoria
angry-melancholy mood with the experience of dissatisfaction with yourself and others. Often accompanied by anger, rage, aggression, despair, suicidal tendencies. It is often observed with epilepsy, organic brain diseases, with some forms of psychopathy, with vascular and atrophic processes of the brain. Immediate psychiatric care and hospitalization are required.
Apathy
lack of any desires and complete indifference to yourself and to everything around you. Apathy is characteristic of some organic lesions of the brain, for endogenous depression, for schizophrenia. An immediate consultation with a psychiatrist is required.
Emotional lability( weakness)
mood instability, its change under the influence of minor events. There are easy states of emotion, sentimentality, tearfulness. This is an obligatory symptom for vascular diseases of the brain( cerebral arteriosclerosis, hypertonic or hypotonic disease, obliterating cerebral thromboangiitis), with organic brain diseases( consequences of traumatic brain injury, brain tumors), with asthenic conditions. The help of the doctor-neurologist, the psychiatrist is required.
