Subcapsular kidney cyst - why it is formed, the main ways to eliminate and control
The subcapsular cyst of the kidney is a benign cystic tumor located beneath the capsule of the kidney. If it is formed due to injury, then there is an admixture of blood or pus in its internal fluid.
This is important! The cyst is capable of damaging one or both of the kidneys, and when performing the diagnosis, the location of the tumor is always indicated.
Causes affecting the formation of the
cyst. The main causative factors in the formation of a cystic tumor under the renal capsule are:
- Rapid growth of epithelial tissue that, from the inside, lines the renal tubules. Rapid proliferation of cells provokes a violation of urinary diversion, and when one of the tubules increases, it loses its connection with other renal structures, which causes the formation of a cyst.
- Necrosis of cellular tissues - this cyst in most cases resolves itself.
- Congenital cysts - are formed as a result of violations during the intrauterine period of development or with the growth of epithelial tissues.
The main manifestations of the lesion
To signs of development of subcapsular cyst in the kidney should be attributed:
- Absence of symptoms in 60% of cases.
- Blunt or aching pain in the lower back or side.
- Recovery of blood pressure indicators.
- Problems associated with urinary incontinence, the development of infectious lesions of the urogenital organs.
- The presence of blood in the urine.
- Testing of seals in the abdomen.
How and for what diagnostics is implemented
Intrauterine cystic neoplasms are detected by performing an ultrasound. At the 15th week of the formation of the fetus, you can determine the number of cysts, their location, size and the possibility of disrupting the kidneys.
Acquired cystic formations are identified through ultrasound. To confirm the benign nature of the tumor, computed tomography is realized. If a person has an allergic reaction to the introduction of contrast, the MRI method is performed, which is slightly inferior to computed tomography due to inaccuracy in the detection of calcium deposits in the cystic septa.
How the medical process is implemented
As a rule, drug therapy is used to reduce the manifestation of the symptoms of the disease, as well as to normalize the overall well-being. For this purpose, medicines are used that restore normal pressure, relieve pain, kill the infection and reduce the intensity of the signs of urolithiasis if there is one.
This is important! Drug therapy for the subcapsular cyst involves the taking of pain medications, as well as antimicrobial medications. In addition, antibiotics are used to prevent the development of inflammation in the kidneys.
If the cyst is very large, then it is drained and the subsequent introduction of sclerotic composition or retrograde intra-venous operation. The first method is realized for a small sized cystic tumor and consists of applying a thin needle to draw the internal serous fluid. Then a substance is added to the released cavity, gluing the walls of the neoplasm - usually pure alcohol. This method can be considered the safest, and after the procedure the patient can immediately go home.
For the elimination of a large cyst, surgical intervention is often performed and laparoscopic surgery is carried out lately for this purpose - small holes are made in the peritoneum wall, and through them a laparoscope and other necessary instruments are inserted into the body. After the end of the procedure, the patient should be under the supervision of specialists for some time.
Not all cysts need to be removed or drained. With subcapsular it is often important to simply carefully monitor the dynamics of its development, and there is a chance that it will never cause a person any inconvenience.
