In the style of the country

The pattern of this curtain is quite simple and sewing is not difficult. Such curtains are perfect for a country house kitchen, and also decorate the city interior in a country style. We recommend using light, natural fabrics. The dimensions on the pattern are indicated with the calculation of the kitchen window 100 * 150 cm. When marking over the fabric, do not forget to add allowances to the seam.

    1. Bottom curtains. On the fabric, draw the lower curtains along the pattern, adding on all sides 2 cm for the fold. Cut them out, process the edge. From the same fabric we cut out the details of the kulisks, adding the allowances on all sides in 1 cm. We bend them and steal them, and we also machine the lateral ones on the typewriter. We mark them in place, indicated on the pattern, and then we add it. Thus, we already have lower curtains.
    2. Lambrequin is an arch. According to the pattern, we mark the fabric under the lambrequin, adding for the joints 2 cm on each side. We cut out, we edge the edges. As well as with curtains, we cut out a kulisk with an allowance of 1 cm. We steal and sew from the side, and then we pile it to the main lambrequin. After that, our curtains are ready, it remains to steal a window.

    French curtains

French curtains with undulating folds will add to the interior of the splendor, pomposity. They are sewed as usual from light, transparent, flowing fabrics, sometimes combining with heavy curtains. The edges are decorated with ruffles, ruffles, brushes or fringe. Also, the fabric at the top can be assembled by a lifting mechanism, forming a kind of lambrequin, as in the photo.

When making this kind of curtains on the top edge, you must always make grooves on all vertical guides. Thanks to this, after tightening the assembly braid, beautiful folds are formed, and the curtain will be located vertically, and not converge to the middle. The depth of this dart depends on the length of the finished product, the longer it is, the deeper the dart must be.

    Fabric calculation:

Curtain length( l) along the cornice is equal to l cornice k assemblies( 1,8 - 2,5)

The value of k depends on how the fabric is draped.

The height of the curtain( h) is h given by the sketch of the assembly multiplied by k

For soft, but dry fabrics( organza), k is 1.8 - 2.0.

For well draped fabrics such as veils, tulles, chiffon k is 2.5.

To ensure that such a curtain looked good after it was hung on the windows, a small weight is attached to all the guides to the bottom.

    Kokilye

A cocyll is an element of textile design, often a constituent of lambrequin. Can be cut out in a classic way and oblique.
