Flowers and Interior
How much has been said about how to select a collection of flowers, so that they feel comfortable in the rooms, and in what containers they can be grown. Of course, the requirements of plants to the microclimate are more than important, but we set them up, first of all, so that they please us, and therefore the aesthetic principle of placing them in the house should go immediately beyond the microclimate.
The most important thing is to ensure that the plants are in harmony with the interior in general: with the size of the apartment, the coloring of the walls, the type and color of the furniture. There are no universal councils here( it all depends on your taste), but you can give some recommendations.
• The thoughtful composition of plants always looks more attractive than the disorderly arrangement of them on the windowsill. You can combine plants in decorative groups by combining the shapes and colors of leaves and flowers both on special stands and on the windowsill. Individual specimens( most often kad plants) are used for the so-called solitary( single) arrangement, when the plant, regardless of everything else, becomes the center of attention: a small tree near the wall can look no less magnificent than a whole battery of small pots of flowers. However, no less effective will look and a single ampel plant, suspended on a wall in a decorative pot.
• In premises equipped with odnostilnoy furniture with strict lines, it is better to place a small number of solitary large plants;then the situation begins to serve the plants as a background, and they, in turn, soften the impression of the interior.
• If the furniture in the room is not uniform in style, a large amount of greenery can give the atmosphere an inner unity and divert attention to itself. Very good in such cases are floreries with artificial illumination, which can be located almost anywhere in the room, and lianas.
• Pots and other containers for plants can be selected and so that they merge with furniture, and so that they contrast with it. Of course, if you want to emphasize the situation exactly on plants, it is better to choose bright pots or pots, but do not allow unnecessary variegation: let them, if possible, be the same shade with any other separate catchy details( for example, with a shade).
• It will be better for plants if the undersized specimens are closer to the glass on the windowsill, and tall ones at the edge of the windowsill, but then the first ones will be obscured from the viewer. To prevent this, it's best not to overload them with a window sill.
• If the wallpaper is mottled or with a strongly pronounced pattern, the ampel plants with small leaves "get lost" against the background of the walls, but the large leaves will stand out perfectly.
• In rooms with low ceilings, tall plants should be placed on the floor or on low stands.
• Light flowers and leaves look better on a dark background, bright - on a light.
And yet: although plants help to refresh the air in the room, too much accumulation of them to a person is still not useful, especially when it comes to colors with a strong aroma or plants that produce phytoncides. Their presence in the nursery or in the sick person's room is undesirable.
