Physiotherapy exercises or exercise therapy in hypertension
With lowered arterial pressure( below 100/60 mm Hg), blood supply to vital organs, including the brain, is impaired. This is due to various reasons, the main of which is a violation of the mechanisms of regulation of the nervous and endocrine systems of the circulatory system. LFK in hypotension is included in a set of therapeutic measures, as a way to strengthen the nervous, endocrine and cardiovascular systems.
The main tasks of exercise therapy in the treatment of hypotension
Hypotonics are well aware of the fact that walking( in good weather) significantly improves their well-being, normalizes blood pressure, improves oxygen flow to the lungs. Some patients do their own respiratory gymnastics, are engaged in morning exercises, yoga, swimming, perfectly aware of the fact that after these simple actions they feel much better.
Therefore, the complex of curative physical education has the following tasks:
- With the help of specially designed exercises to strengthen the body.
- To increase the efficiency of patients and their emotional status.
- Normalize the interaction of the central and peripheral nervous systems with other organs and systems.
- To work out a mechanism for increasing and strengthening the tone of blood vessels.
- With the help of physical education to train not only muscles, but also other organs and systems.
- Improve the coordination of movements, motor activity, increase the endurance of the body.
What is included in the set of exercises?
Before curing hypotension with the help of exercise therapy, it is necessary to have a checkup with a cardiologist, find out the cause of this condition and only then start the exercises. All exercises in the beginning should be done under the supervision of an instructor who will be able to adjust the individual complex of exercises produced at home.
To begin with, all exercises are done in the supine position, and all sudden movements are excluded. Then gradually, when the condition improves, you can go to exercises sitting on the floor( or on a chair), and only then go to the usual set of exercises in standing position. The pace of exercise must first be leisurely, slow, and the density of employment is medium or small.
An exemplary set of exercises consists of the following exercises:
- In the supine position with arms and legs extended, simultaneously raise the head and legs, detaining them for a few seconds, then smoothly lowering. Repeat 5-6 times.
- In a prone position with hands on the waist and elongated legs smoothly, sliding on the floor, raise the legs, bent at the knees, and then unbend them and lift them up. Similarly, smoothly first lower to the knees, and then smoothly return to the starting position. Repeat 5-6 times.
- In the prone position with hands on the belt, do an exercise with your feet "bike", making moves with your feet first to one side and then to the other.
- In the supine position on the back with arms spread apart, raise one leg and make the cotton with the hands under the foot. Then repeat the exercise with the other leg.
- In the supine position with the hands under the head, raise the legs at a 90-degree angle and perform the "scissors" exercise, crossing the legs and spreading them to the sides.
The final stage of medical gymnastics must necessarily contain a set of breathing exercises. To do this, you need to learn to breathe so that when you inhale, pull the stomach forward, and with exhalation - draw in yourself. This exercise helps to quickly restore the flow of oxygen to the tissues. You can make breathing exercises in any position.
After graduation, it is not recommended to jump abruptly, and lie down for a few minutes, then sit down for 5 minutes, and only then get up.
