Walking in the park or in the forest, most do not suspect that right under your feet you can find a lot of material for all kinds of beautiful crafts, inincluding the topiary. Leaves of different trees: both spring green, and golden-red in the autumn, and bumps at every step lie idle. So we go out into the nature to collect material for a new creation.

In order to make a topiary from autumn leaves, a master class is simply necessary. Not everyone knows how to handle such natural material, especially if it is dry autumn leaves. You can see the photos of the finished works below.

1st MC for making topiary from "fresh" foliage

So, the first MK will be working with fresh foliage, and the second will work with dry leaves.

    Preparation of material for work

    • Newspapers, threads, napkins and PVA glue for creating the basis.
    • The branch for the trunk.
    • Twine for decoration of trunk and stand.
    • instagram viewer
    • Thermocouple.
    • Maple autumn "fresh" leaves and artificial berries. They are needed to create the crown.
    • Capacity for stand and gypsum, as well as artificial or natural grass.
    • Satin ribbon for decoration.

Creating the basis for the crown of the topiary

So, for the basics you need to take a large number of newspapers and, overlapping one another, form a ball. For better fixing of the form, it is necessary to wrap the base with threads.

Now you need to take any napkins and tear them into small pieces. We apply PVA glue to the base and glue it with napkins. This is necessary for the ball to take a more correct form. It is best to paste several layers of napkins. The best option is to leave the balloon to dry for the night.

Creating a trunk for decorative wood

For a trunk, you can take Chinese sticks and, combining them together, wrap up with any suitable material. Or take any stick suitable for the size. In this case, the usual branch is used. It must be lubricated with PVA glue, wrapped in twine and allowed to dry thoroughly.

    Assembly of the topiary

In the ball, which we prepared in advance for the basis of the topiary, we need to make a cross-section. At the top of the trunk, drip hot glue and insert into the base, just press it slightly. Cut the edges of the cut with a thermo-pistol.

    Decoration of the autumn tree

Now begins the most interesting stage - decoration of the topiary. For this, take any stud, make a hole in the base. In it you need to drop a drop of hot glue and insert a leaf inside. Continue to stick the leaves further as you like. In addition, you can glue and artificial berries. Or what you prefer.

    Manufacture of stand

The last stage remains - the stand. For it, you can take any suitable capacity, which is suitable in form and volume. It can be a small bucket, a mug or a flower pot. Further in your capacity you need to fill in the gypsum, and as soon as it begins to thicken, insert the topiary right there in the center. Now fix it.

As soon as the solution is a little frozen, you can tackle the stand. Take artificial or real grass and lay it directly on the plaster. The pot itself is decorated with twine. To ensure that it lies tight, glue it every 4 cm with a thermo-gun. Take the satin ribbon and tie around the stand in the form of a bow. Or, for example, paste miniature artificial leaves on a pot. Here is such a wonderful topiary turned from maple leaves.

2 nd MK - creation of topiary from dry leaves

Dry leaves work, of course, much more difficult than with conventional ones. But there is nothing impossible in the world of creativity! From this, using detailed instructions and photos, you will learn how to do it correctly.

    Material preparation

    • Wire: one thick and two thin. And also corrugated paper: pink, green and golden.
    • Capacity for stand, gypsum and manganese.
    • Scotch, threads, newspapers and colored paper for the printer.
    • Dried flowers and roses from leaves, previously prepared.
    • Thermal gun.
    • Beads and wrapping paper for decoration.

Creating a barrel for the topiary

Take three wires 25-30 cm long. Use corrugated paper to wrap the wire. In this example, paper of three colors is taken: pink, green and golden. At the ends of each of the colored stripes, drip the glue, then the paper will hold better.

Using adhesive tape, fasten all three wires together, and then wrap the pink and green around the golden wire.

    Preparation of stand

In this lesson, a translucent decanter of purple hue is used as a stand. Therefore, as a filler, gypsum mixed with manganese is used. It turns out a very beautiful shade.

While the mixture is not frozen, pour it into the decanter.

Now insert inside the finished barrel of wire.

Creating the foundation and tree crown

The turn for the topiary has come. Take newspapers and colored printing paper, and build a ball out of them. In order for the shape of the future crown to be more correct, wrap the figure with adhesive tape, and then thread.

Now you can start creating the crown. In addition to roses from dried leaves of trees, dried flowers are also used here. Roses from leaves and flowers must be prepared in advance from fresh materials, since they will dry up and nothing will come of it. Most often these flowers are made from the leaves of the maple.

We continue to decorate the topiary. Using a thermo-gun, stick dried flowers and roses from the leaves to the base. You can also take the balls from wrapping paper.

Cover the entire substrate and attach it to the place where it will be attached to the trunk, a square of wrapping paper. Next, make a small hole and drip into the hot glue. Put the ball on the trunk of the topiary and gently press it.

The finishing touches remain. Decorate the crown with small beads, and on the decanter make a pattern of small roses. Everything, topiary from dry leaves and flowers is ready!

Of course, natural materials, from which decorative trees can be made, are not limited to leaves and flowers. This can be nuts, and acorns, or, for example, cones. Below are a few works from leaves and cones.
