Purpose of the workshop "Application from circles and semicircles" - teach the child:

• to distinguish a circle from other geometric figures
• to use scissors
• to finish the work to the end
• to dream and developlogical thinking

To perform the application with a child of preschool age it is necessary to prepare:

1. Colored paper, from it will be made blanks for applique.
2. Thick cardboard - will serve as the basis for the work.
3. Glass, it is useful for drawing circles.
4. A simple pencil for drawing circles.
5. Scissors with rounded ends. Such scissors are great for teaching a child to cut out figures themselves.
6. Glue - a pencil for collecting applications.

Application of the caterpillar from the circles

The caterpillar is selected for the first session. To produce it you need only circles. This will help the child remember the distinctive features of the circle.

Help the child draw a circle with a glass. Let him try to cut the workpiece by himself. If it does not work out, draw and cut out the remaining details yourself. Do not insist that from the beginning to the end the work was done by the young creator. Be sure to use the workpiece that the child cut out in the work, so you will not beat the child's desire for applique.

Tell the child how to draw eyes and mouth. If the child is not satisfied with the result, continue to think out what happened to the caterpillar. I ate a sour berry or crawled on a sharp stone.
