We need sheets of paper, pencil, ruler, compasses, scissors and glue.

The first thing to do is to cut out the cylinder-forming parts, namely: two identical bases and a side surface. As two bases there are two symmetrical circles, in order to cut them, you need to determine the diameter of the future figure, then you need to divide the diameter value by two and thus get a radius, then this number should be set on the compass and draw two circles. Then the circles must be cut with scissors.

The side surface is formed from a rectangular shape, in order to cut it, you must first determine the height of the future cylinder, because it is the numerical value of the height that determines one side of the rectangle. The width of the rectangle is determined by the following formula: the numerical value of the diameter of the base must be multiplied by a number 3.14 plus by ten millimeters to form allowances on each side. Then, from the allowances, triangles must be formed.

After the part has been cut out, the allowances should be greased with glue and roll up the rectangular shaped part in the form of a pipe. Then it is necessary to glue the upper and lower allowances with glue and attach round bases to them.
