What threatens placenta hypotrophy for a woman and a child?
Future mothers who still bear the fetus are especially prone to various diseases. And all diseases directly affect the future child. One of the most dangerous diseases is the placenta hypotrophy of a woman.
This disease can occur both in early pregnancy and late. Its essence lies in the lag of the fetus from normal timely development. If in time to reveal the placenta hypotrophy, then there are quite high chances to give birth to a normal and healthy baby.
Otherwise, there are high chances to give birth to a child with pathologies of a different nature. In the most acute and complicated manifestations of hypotrophy, there are variants of fetal death in the womb, as well as a lethal outcome for a woman.
Hypotrophy of the placenta refers to a disease that occurs when complications of other diseases. Experts attribute this disease to complications during pregnancy, which leads to an imbalance of vital functional responsibilities of the placenta, which directly depends on the state of health of the future mother.
The main causes of the development of placental hypotrophy
There are many reasons for the formation of placental hypotrophy. The first of these is placental insufficiency. It occurs in the process of premature detachment.
This is caused by abnormalities in the functional process of placentation."Auxiliary" role for premature detachment is performed by hormonal failures in the body, mental, physical and psychophysiological injuries, a very late toxicosis process, attempts at abortion and genital diseases of the pregnant woman. When this pathology occurs, the development of placental hypotrophy is not excluded.
The second cause of the formation of hypotrophy is exogenous and endogenous factors. The first factors include impaired circulation of the placenta and uterus. To the development of the disturbance of the process of normal blood circulation, such causes as hormonal failures, the transferred diseases, violations of the general metabolism and bad habits( smoking and alcohol) are promoted.
To endogenous factors include various disorders in the body for the normal formation and further development of the placenta. As a result of these harmful factors, placental insufficiency develops. It is she who can lead to complete hypotrophy. Therefore, all future mothers need to scrupulously treat the whole process of pregnancy.
Types of placental insufficiency
Doctors distinguish primary placental insufficiency, secondary and absolute. In the first case, failure occurs in the early stages of pregnancy, when the placenta is still forming. Secondary placental insufficiency occurs already in the middle and late stages of pregnancy.
The development of absolute insufficiency leads to intrauterine death of the baby. The above three factors contribute to the development of three types of placental insufficiency.
Hypotrophy of the placenta( lagging behind in fetal development) always occurs in one of the varieties of placental insufficiency. The most terrible thing is that its detection is possible only if there are deviations in the temporary development of the fetus. Otherwise, it is very difficult to identify it.
There are 2 types of hypotrophy. The first type is characterized by a lag in the development of mass and length of the fetus in relation to the norms relative to the gestational age, and the second - a lag in the development of the body mass at a perfectly normal length. The last kind of hypotrophy is most common.
