How to make a kite
The kite is one of the most favorite amusements of many generations of children. How to make it? The structure of the snake can be different. In order to get a classic flat snake, on a rectangular sheet of paper measuring 200X300 mm( you can take other dimensions), on the back side, three laths-bollards are glued: two on diagonals and one on the top edge of the sheet.
The length of the ropes is taken such that their ends protrude beyond the edges of the sheet for 12-15 mm, thickness 1.5-2 mm, width 5-8 mm.
On the front side of the sheet is a bridle consisting of three strands of the same length, which are tied behind the crosshairs of the larvae at the corners of the leaf and in the center( where the leaf is pierced with a needle). The length of each thread is taken equal to the distance from the corner of the leaf to its center, so that when the bridle is placed on the leaf, its nodule coincides with the center( so check the symmetry of the frenum). If the filament from the center is slightly shorter than the others, the serpent will climb steeper, if longer - the flight of the snake will be more horizontal.
Between the upper corners of the snake from the back side pull the thread, like a bow string. The curved surface of the sheet gives stability in flight. Previously, a strip of paper 3-4 cm wide, assembled by an accordion, is put on this screed. This is a ratchet. She vibrates under the pressure of the wind and drumming on the surface of the snake, issuing a characteristic sound - the snake "growls."
The tail 2-2.5 m long is bifurcated from about half the length. If in the flight the snake is scampering from side to side, then the tail is too light. It needs to be lengthened or tied to its end with a bunch of grass or paper. Classic material for the tail is a basted mochalo, but it can be replaced with some braid, strips of chopped rags or even paper twine.
Suspend the tail to the lower ends of the rack with thread. So that they do not slip, shallow cuts are made at the ends of the rods.
For the "fry" it is necessary to take the thread not thinner than the tenth number, it is even better to use kapron threads.
Run snakes in good winds away from trees and transmission lines. Do this alone: one holds the snake against the wind, and the other, having retired with a string of meters for 10-15, must run several steps to make the snake fly. After this, the thread must be gradually released until the snake rises to its fullest( note, by the way, that the height of the flight of a snake is not limited to one coil). If desired, the thread can be tied to anything and even go away - the snake will fly at least a day, until the wind subsides.
