    All rickettsiosis for clinical manifestations, complications and treatment are identical to typhus, but it has its own peculiarities:

    Tick rickettsiosis of North Asia is a natural focal rickettsiosis with a cyclic course, characterized in addition to the standard symptoms characteristic of all rickettsiosis, the formation of primary affect at the site of the tick biteand regional lymphadenitis.

    Causes of infection

    The main distributors are claws, they infect rodents, and a person in this vicious circle gets accidentally with bites.

    The immune layer among the population in natural foci is high due to latent immunization.

    Features of the disease

    When infecting this rickettsiosis, proliferative processes predominate over destructive.

    Primary affect and regional lymphadenitis are formed during the incubation period. Primary affect appears as a dense, towering patch from 2-3 mm to 2-3 cm, brown with redness around the periphery, and in the center a sore or foci of necrosis. The reverse development lasts 9-20 days, it does not leave a defect after itself. Regional lymphadenitis is manifested simultaneously with primary affect and the size reaches 2-2.5 cm in diameter, while it is painless or painless, not soldered to surrounding tissues, the skin over it is not changed, and regression lasts about 18 days.

    The rash appears on day 2-3 of the disease with fever and its first place on the lateral surface of the chest, the inner surface of the hips, the flexural surface of the arms in the joint region, and after that it spreads to the entire body, with possible capture of the face, palmar andplantar surfaces. The rash disappears in the reverse order starting from the face, leaving after itself peeling and pigmentation, this period lasts about two weeks.

    Along with the remaining signs, the patients notice hyperemia( reddening) of the mucosa of the soft palate, tongue and tonsils, sometimes with the presence of enanthema.

    From the side of the central nervous system in patients there is a persistent headache, worse at night and insomnia.

    On the part of the respiratory system, laryngotraheobranchitis, manifested by hoarseness, dry cough with time changing wet, sore throat pains reminiscent of anginal, etc.

    From the side of diagnosis and treatment of specific features it was not found: the determination of antibodies in DSC and RNGA are positive from 5-7day of illness. Treatment is similar to that for typhus.

    General prophylaxis is the destruction of mites, specific and emergency prevention is not developed.
