Increasing mental abilities bring even more excitement to the adventures of a small adventurer. But this age has its own joys and its sorrows. Fear of separation somewhat balances the child's strong desire to explore the world and experiment. In one minute the child stands beside you, because here he is calmer, and in another he is already rushing from you headlong, rushing to some curious subject. The duality caused by the contradiction between dependence and independence, combined with a desire to explore everything around, brings a very expressive expression of joy, laughter, fear, anger and tantrums in the overload of the nervous system. The child now not only feels feelings, but also has the ability to express them. Although the child wants to do everything "himself," reality tells him that he can not. In the intellectual and motor development there is a serious leap, but the physical growth in the second year is suspended. During the first year of life, the average child can gain 6.4 kg and grow by 25 cm;during the second year, he can only gain 2.3 kg and grow only 13 cm.
