    Job Description of the Chief Nurse

    I. General part of

    The main tasks of of the main hospital nurse are the rational organization of the work of middle and junior medical personnel and ensuring the timely performance of medical appointments to patients. The appointment and dismissal of the chief nurse are carried out by the head physician of the hospital in accordance with the current legislation. She is a person who is liable in accordance with the legislation in force and the contract entered into with her, reports directly to the head physician, and in his absence - to the person replacing him. In its activities, it is guided by the current legislation, orders, orders and orders of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, local health authorities, this job description, and methodological recommendations for improving the activities of nursing staff of medical and preventive institutions. The entire medical staff of the hospital is subordinated to the chief nurse.

    1. Ensures the development of rational work schedules and implements the correct placement of middle and junior medical personnel.

    2. Provides briefing on the employment of medium and junior medical personnel on labor protection and safety, but fire safety, and also introduces them to job descriptions and other mandatory documents.

    3. Performs systematic monitoring of the timely and quality performance of medical and diagnostic appointments by medical nurse by nurses.

    4. Timely reshuffle of nurses, replacing suddenly ill or not coming to work.

    5. Directly directs the work of the nurses of the procedure room and other diagnostic and treatment rooms and auxiliary rooms working without a doctor.

    6. Supervises the senior nurses of the departments, teaching them the principles of organizing the work of nurses in the department, maintaining documentation, drawing up schedules, etc.

    7. Controls the maintenance of the time sheets for the offices, compiles a summary report for the hospital for submission to the accounting department at the due date.

    8. Ensures timely discharge, proper accounting, distribution and use of medical instruments, medicines, bacterial preparations, dressing materials, forms of special records( sheets of disability, medical certificates of death, etc.).

    9. Controls the regularity of scheduled technical control and routine maintenance of medical equipment.

    10. Keeps a list of all control and measuring devices with the indication of the terms of the state audit, after which they send these devices to the state check( tonometers, manometers, scales, etc.) or calls metrological service workers to the hospital for this purpose.

    11. Carries out a commission fee for the depreciation of devices, apparatus and tools that are not subject to repair.

    12. Keeps a strict list record of all material values ​​that are on its responsibility, stores alcohol, drugs and special forms in the safe, provides premises where material assets and medicines are stored with burglar alarm.

    13. Daily conducts a bypass of the hospital, supervising compliance with the sanitary and anti-epidemic regime, observance of labor discipline by the average medical personnel, the state of the nurses' work places.

    14. At least once a month, it monitors the adherence by the average medical personnel of aseptic and antiseptic materials, the maintenance of documentation, the packing of forms with the results of laboratory studies, the storage of alcohol, medicines, dressings, instruments, chemical reagents, special forms in the departments of alcohol.

    15. Develops and presents to the chief physician for approval the plan for upgrading the average medical staff of the hospital for a year and for the future( specialization courses, on-the-job training, detachment to another medical and preventive institution, attestation of laboratory assistants, etc.);makes a plan for conferences of nurses, organizing them at least once a month, using them as an effective form of upgrading the skills of nurses.

    16. Conducts individual work with nurses, educating them in high responsibility, humanity in relation to patients, honesty, integrity, collegiality.

    III.Rights

    1. To participate in the decision of the issues of hiring and firing of middle and junior medical workers.

    2. To submit to encouragement and imposition of disciplinary sanctions on the average and junior medical personnel.

    3. Control the activities of nurses and nurses of any department and hospital cabinet, give them orders and instructions.

    4. In the case of an official need to temporarily relocate middle and junior medical staff in a polyclinic followed by information from the management of a polyclinic.

    IV.Assessment of work and responsibility

    The assessment of the work of the chief nurse is carried out by the chief physician of the polyclinic based on the results of work based on the analysis of quantitative performance indicators, compliance with the requirements of the basic official documents, labor discipline rules, moral and ethical standards of conduct. The main nurse of the polyclinic is responsible for the non-preservation of material values, for poor performance and erroneous actions both in their activities and in the activities of the entire average medical staff of the institution.
