The ability of a child to manipulate two toys simultaneously opens up infinite game possibilities for these curious little hands, and towards the end of the first year the child discovers the capacities and the concept of emptiness. Here are a few activities that will help your child to enjoy their new skills.
• Give the child a large plastic glass or shoe box;See how the child will thrust in his capacity of curious handles. Now give the child a cube and watch how he will introduce a cube with a capacity. The hand and the brain work together to figure out how to put a cube in a box and, of course, how to shake it out of there.
