A single-valued answer to it no one will ever give, since too many factors determine it. The cycle is considered from the first day of one month to the first day of the next. External factors, such as lifestyle, nutrition, stress effects, are also taken into account. Therefore, to calculate the time of delivery becomes even more difficult. The average duration of gestation is 40 weeks, fluctuations within 2 weeks are possible, i.e. births may occur within

38-42 weeks. Using as many methods as possible to determine the time of delivery, you increase the chances of knowing their exact date.

Option 1. The most common and convenient for a woman. By the first day of the last menstruation 280 days or 40 weeks are added, because during critical days a woman can become pregnant. It can be considered easier. From the first day of the last menstruation, subtract 3 months and add 7 days to the received date, and get the possible date of birth.

Option 2. By the time your child moves for the first time. For women who are preparing to become a mother for the first time, by the date when the child first started to move( this happens on the 20th week), it is necessary to add another 20 weeks. For re-relatives who are familiar with the sensation of the first shock and recognize it already at the 18th week, it is recommended to add 22 weeks.

Option 3. By the term of pregnancy established in the women's consultation at your first visit. By the way, the earlier a woman turns to a doctor( this is better done in the first 12 weeks), the less will be the error in the term of pregnancy and, accordingly, in the time of delivery.

Variant 4. Based on data obtained as a result of ultrasound. At the first admission in a woman's consultation to a woman who applied for a delay in menstrual and suspicion of pregnancy, the doctor should do an ultrasound. Examination can be carried out using a sensor, passing them on the stomach or through the vagina. This method allows you to estimate the size of the fetus, which in the first three months of pregnancy is increased by 0.7 cm per day, and if there are abnormalities in its development, it is timely to identify them. Ultrasound is the most reliable, safe and affordable way to assess the condition of the fetus. Based on the data obtained with this method, intra-uterine operations are currently performed to cure an unborn baby. In a normal pregnancy, ultrasound is performed three times:

1) when you first visit the doctor;

2) at 16-18 weeks to determine the compliance of fetal development with the term of pregnancy;

3) at the time of 32-35 weeks to determine the position and weight of the fetus, the state of the child's place.
