Skirt-tutu with their own hands: master class and video training
Probably every mother of a little girl knows that a lush skirt for her daughter is not just a wardrobe item, but the embodiment of a dreamlike dream of a magical world where one can feel like a princess or a fairy. And even if you do not know how to sew, you can give this dreamer a dreamer, because you will not have to sew.
Our master class will suit even the newest handicraftsmen. And for sewing masters we will add a classic version of sewing a pack of fabric.
Materials
First of all, you will need:
- Idea. Well think about how you see the pack, what colors you will use, what it will be of length. If necessary, draw a sketch.
- Fatine. The choice here is quite wide, both in terms of color solution, and texture, shine of the material, the size of the cells. The thinner the tulle, the more it will be needed for the skirt. Also, more will be needed if the skirt is planned to be long. You can replace the tulle with a knitted mesh.
- A dense rubber band with a width of at least 2.5 cm. To prevent it from being deformed, it is better to make the belt double in width. In the same length, the elastic should be 3 cm less than the waist circumference + allowance for the seam. Scissors, thread, needle.
Skirt without sewing
1. From the tulle cut the stripes. Width 25 cm, length - 50 cm.
2. We sew the elastic band, for convenience of work we put on the legs of the stool.
3. Take the strip and tie it up on an elastic band. We make sure that it is not over-tightened so that it does not twist when you wear it.
4. Once again firmly tie the knot on the strip.
5. Thus, we tie all subsequent strips on the skirt, alternating colors to create the desired pattern. For the skirt in the photo, this alternation was used:
1 red tape - 1 pink - 1 red - 5 white.
6. We move the nodules tightly to each other. The more fabrics are used, the more splendidly the skirt of a pack for a girl sewn with her own hands.
7. Remove the gum from the legs of the chair, gently straighten the tulle over its entire width.
8. Now it is completely ready and can please its owner.
Skirt with a train
In order to make a pack with a train, you first need to make an ordinary pack according to the technology described above.
Then cut the tulle into ribbons of different lengths. Fold them in layers, the shortest - at the top. We sweep and weighed this "pile" to the tape, and the tape itself - to the nodules on the main pack. From the ends of this tape you can tie a bow.
You can also attach a cable to an elastic band and dress as a separate skirt on top or under the main one.
It turns out that such a baby pack.
Classic tutu
A tutu in the classical version consists of 12-16 layers of corrugated fabric, but for the "home" version, 4-6 layers of tulle or tulle will suffice. Circles are sewn from rectangular strips of fabric. The diameter of each next layer by 2.5 cm should be less than the previous one.
- The top layer is 37.5 cm wide.
- The second is 35 cm.
- The next smaller is 32.5 cm.
- And the last one is 30 cm.
It will take at least 6 m of fabric, as well as 4 m of satin ribbon 3 cm wide, a small piece of linen gum.
Instructions how to sew a pack:
1. Roll the fabric on a table and cut off the fabric strip.
2. Sew them in one tape.
3. We make a marking seam along one of the sides, fixing the thread in the corner.
4. Tighten the nodule, forming folds on the tape. They will be very dense, so choose a thread that can withstand such a tension.
5. The length of the raised edge should be equal to the girth of your waist. Then fix the thread with a knot.
6. Do the same with the other layers.
7. Each layer is tied to a separate part of the tape.
In a classic pack, ribbons are sewn to special shorts with a high waist. The tapes are located at the level of the hips, and the upper part is sewn on the body. But we can do with the usual wide belt-belt.
Please note that ribbons with skirts must be fixed at a strictly defined level. This helps to achieve the desired stiffness of folds.
If you want, between the rows of stitches you can sew a plastic hoop.
