Budenovka for son
Hardly anyone stepped over the threshold of Valerkin's room, Bunyodovka was immediately thrown into his eyes. Visibly faded from time, with threadbare loops and a five-pointed star sewn over a cloth visor, she hung over a piece of crimson velvet with a decent collection of badges dedicated to the Armed Forces. What icons there just was not there! From the very earliest, which appeared in the twenties, to those that fill today's tablets. And yet, involuntarily, the gaze involuntarily attracted to itself an old Budyonovka, the same age as the troubled youth of the fighters for Soviet power. What did she see in her lifetime? Through what trials and tribulations passed with his master? And, actually, how was it here in the children's room of a modern Moscow house, built just two years ago?
As if reading our silent questions, Boris Mikhailovich, Valerka's father, explained:
- Budenovka got from grandfather by inheritance to me. And now it's handed to Valerke. Family heirloom, dear to all of us. The only value that connects us with the memory of my grandfather, the First Cavalry cavalryman, the Order Bearer. Valerka is very proud of him, he is proud of this Budyonovka. Grandfather in the revolution participated, then served in Ukraine, near Zhitomir. ..
Boris Mikhailovich for a moment fell silent, took off his boot from the nail, lovingly passed his hand over her rusty top.
- At one time I was literally fascinated by stories about the service of my grandfather, his exploits. When the family council gave me Budyonovka for preservation, I wanted to be in everything like a grandfather, worthy of it. That is why I chose the profession of an officer for life. I do not know, maybe what I'm talking about captures so much only at an early age, "my interlocutor smiled gently.- However, I am sure of this: a boyish love for our ideals, starting from the prism of great emotions, persists for many years. That's why Valerka got this budenovka. I am convinced that she has not yet completed her service. ..
We will not be quick to judge the life path that today's fifth grader will like, will the son of Boris Mikhailovich take the place of the defenders of the homeland like his grandfather and his father. But we do not doubt that Budenovka has not yet completed its service. Together with her in the heart of the boy firmly entered the revolutionary symbols, romance. And is not there that invisible bridge that has been thrown from generation to generation, which connects and unites them?
It is in the family that the foundations of citizenship are laid. Educating a patriot of his country, his people, needs a purposeful, from a very early age, taking into account, of course, the child's hobbies, everything that forms his inner world at this stage of his life.
Alas, often some parents misunderstand how important it is to raise a young patriot in the family. It is important for the baby and society. Although, on occasion, such dads and mothers say in general good, correct words: children are our future, we want to safely entrust them our home, our business and the most precious Motherland.
On the other hand, parents sometimes have a poor understanding of how best to achieve the desired result, so that the children taken from our grandfathers, finally, from us, the parents, are responsible for the fate of the Motherland with honor. Unfortunately, they know nothing about the methods or the forms of this work. And sometimes they do not know the most important thing - their child, they do not know what is capable of significantly influencing, say, certain of his views.
We certainly agree with the statement: the formation of ideological, civic beliefs begins in many respects with an understanding of beauty, the public good of noble deeds, from the examples of heroism heard by children, from examples of selfless devotion to high ideals. Note, by the way, that even small children are well versed in such matters. In his own way, it's true, childishly, but they are still being understood. Their, though small, life experience, communication with the surrounding world develops basically the right social flair.
Again, the above statement is shared, in principle, by all parents. But, dear fathers and mothers, who among you thought about the fact that such comprehension is not through the perception of some beautiful, catchy slogans by the children, or through abstract, alas, so frequent in the families of moralizing. More fully, it is better our spiritual values are comprehended through direct contact with concrete deeds of relatives and friends, through their personal attitude to what surrounds us day to day. In particular, to the same Budenovka, which is stored in the family of Boris Mikhailovich.
How wonderful, that at one time a person foresaw the considerable role of Budyonovka in the upbringing of his son! For the boy, as if the revolutionary past of his grandfather came alive, the call of the older generations to continue their military glory sounded.
Do we not find any opportunities for such work in each of our families? It would be very good.
