Accept the child as he is, so it is better for him.
The face of each child is different from everyone else. Similarly, the developmental features of each child differ. One very quickly develops physically, he early develops coordination of movements, he early learns to sit down, stand and walk - a real little athlete. However, he can slowly master fine finger movements or speech. Even a child who has easily learned to turn over or sit, can hardly master walking. A child who develops physically fast may later develop teeth, and vice versa. Those who hardly started to speak, so that the parents even feared that he was mentally underdeveloped, becomes the first student in school; At the same time, a child with average intelligence sometimes starts talking very early.
I deliberately cite contrasting examples to show you how individual and different types of child development can be.
One child is born with a broad bone, with a strong body, and the other will always have thin bones and a delicate physique. One seemed to be born to become fat. If, during illness, he loses weight, then quickly heals up. Whatever troubles he may experience, this does not affect his appetite. And the other always remains thin, even when he eats the most nutritious dishes and his life is spared from unrest.
Love your child the way he is, enjoy his appearance, what he does, and forget about the qualities that he does not possess. I give this advice not just for sentimental reasons. This is a very practical point of view. A child who is perceived as he is, even if he is unattractive, awkward or slow, grows confident and happy. He will be able to make the best use of his abilities and easily treat his shortcomings. But a child who was never fully accepted by his parents, who always felt that something was wrong with him, would not be sure of himself all his life. He can not fully use his intellect and physical abilities. If he begins life with the consciousness of his shortcomings, mental or physical, they will be tenfold by the time he becomes an adult.
