Asthma: symptoms and signs
Asthma is a chronic paroxysmal inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract, which is accompanied by coughing, shortness of breath and periodic attacks of suffocation.
There are two forms of this disease:
- immunological form;
- is a non-immunological form.
And also has the following types:
- atopic bronchial asthma;
- is infectious-dependent;
- hormone-dependent;
- aspirin.
Symptoms of asthma are different in nature and can occur regardless of the age of the patient. Typical symptoms of the disease include the following symptoms:
- cough of various types;
- wheezing;
- severity and chest pain;
- spitting and sputum discharge;
- suffocation of different severity, from lighter to severe.
Types and symptoms of asthma
Types of incidence of asthma are subdivided:
1) by the causative criterion, causing an exacerbation - when a specific allergen enters the bronchi of the respiratory organ or against the background of lung infection by infection;
2) by the criterion of the course of the disease - light, medium, heavy.
Symptoms of cardiac asthma: sound with percussion and many different dry wheezes. As a rule, it is often confused with bronchial, because of the similarity of the first signs.
The correct diagnosis of cardiac asthma is easy to establish on the basis of emerging first attacks of asphyxia only in the elderly, the presence of problems with hypertension and gallop rhythm, as well as other signs of cardiovascular damage.
Symptoms of bronchial asthma can manifest more strongly at night, the condition suffers from impairment due to factors such as inadequate physical activity, hypothermia, or psychological stress.
Also, symptoms can be exacerbated by production factors: contact with insecticides, animals, epoxies, colors, dyes and varnishes. Most often, the asthma clinic is strengthened because of the allergy to house dust mites.
Symptoms and treatment of bronchial asthma is a rapid diagnosis of the first signs of the disease, which can provide a stable recovery, especially in patients of small age.
If the patient does not show wheezing or difficulty in breathing at the initial stage, or he was not provided with timely medical assistance, then the disease progression to the most severe form is possible.
Acute severe form of the disease can lead to a sad outcome if it is not recognized in time and does not conduct the necessary medical treatment.
Symptoms of bronchial asthma in children are usually associated with high sensitivity to allergens from the environment, as well as a general predisposition to them. In children and adults, seizures of this disease can be caused mainly by respiratory system infection.
Symptoms of cardiac asthma manifest mainly at night, in the daytime patient leads a normal active life without any special complaints.
The patient, in addition to the attack of suffocation, complains of the appearance of a feeling of chest strain, a strong persistent cough. There is also an increase in diastolic and a decrease in systolic blood pressure, with the pulse quickening and sweating.
Symptoms of asthma in children are manifested mainly by a strong cough and breathing with wheezing. Unfortunately, this disease is very common among younger patients and this is associated, as a rule, with a hereditary predisposition. According to statistics, the incidence of this disease is higher in boys than in girls.
Allergic asthma - its symptoms:
- rhinitis;
- urticaria;
- eosinophilia;
- appearance of sharp fluctuations in the frequency of seizures;
- suffocation attack;
- manifestation of vasomotor reaction from the nasopharynx, in the form of abundant watery discharge and constant sneezing.
These signs of the disease can be alleviated by taking antihistamines. The first signs of asthma can not be examined by chest radiograph, it often proves to be more than normal, despite the manifestation of such a clinical picture as hyperventilation of the respiratory tract.
With such an unclear diagnosis, unfortunately, the severity of the disease increases, and the patient's condition can be saved only by an experienced pulmonary physician.
Attack of the disease - symptoms resemble a clinical condition in which the effects are reversible, if appropriate treatment is undertaken, to relieve spasm of the bronchi that causes difficulty in breathing in and out.
Treatment for this disease should be regular, regardless of the frequency of attacks of dyspnoea and wheezing, and it is worth starting it as soon as the first symptoms of asthma are discovered.
Try to avoid factors that provoke the disease - spring and summer pollen, contact with animals, cigarette smoke, cold weather, physical activity and any kind of dust.
Symptoms of cardiac asthma will help to identify the complex nature of this disease and the purpose of influencing neurogenic factors, namely the regulation of the higher nervous system and the improvement of the function of cardiac contraction and other measures to discharge blood circulation.
Prevention of the disease should be comprehensive, aimed at eliminating the causes of the disease and improving the condition of the patient. In case of a threat to life, a number of urgent measures must be taken. Also well defeats the disease-treatment of folk remedies, which should not be neglected and try to select recipes together with the attending physician.
