Everyone is accustomed to believe that this is the country where tulips are born, but this is not so. The native land of plants is Central Asia. The name of the flower is translated as a turban. All because of the fact that it is with this element of clothing and the shape of a cup of flowers is similar.

Autumn is considered the best time for planting tulips. All experienced gardeners know that running around in search of bulbs in the spring is an ungrateful and wrong decision. After all, tulips need to be planted only during the winter.
If you want to meet spring in the "society" of these beautiful flowers, go buy seeds not in spring, but also in autumn. After all, the optimal time for planting tulips is the period from the end of September to the end of October or to the first frosts. Timing can be slightly shifted, because the optimal time comes at a time when the soil temperature drops to about +10 degrees. If you plant the tulips before, they will sprout, and then the next year there will be no flowering. If you land later - just do not have time to take root, because for this process you need at least 30-45 days.
There were cases when the bulbs planted after the first snow sprouted and gave beautiful flowers. But it's better not to experiment just like that, but only when there is no other way out. In this case, you need to deflate the snow, dig deep enough holes, pour the soil with hot water and plant bulbs. Then all of this is covered from above by a thick layer of berger and is thrown with snow. If the weather is warm throughout the winter, the flowers should ascend.

They are always planted to a depth of 3 bulb diameters. Pour in a hole of sand so much that the whole bulb was covered with it. So you can protect the plant from any diseases and pests. After planting, the entire bed should be mulched by humus to 7-10 centimeters. When the cold comes, the planting is covered with spruce lapnik, in order to hold the snow on the surface and prevent the bulbs from reaching.
With the coming of next year, give three additional fertilizing. The first should occur immediately after the snow falls. It is worth it to dilute the ammonium nitrate or urea and water the plants. You can also use slurry. If there is a desire, it is worthwhile to fertilize before the snow comes down. To do this, you only need to scatter the fertilizer on the landing surface. They are quite easily amenable to dissolution, which means they will quickly enter the soil together with thawed snow.
The second feeding should occur during the appearance of buds. Most often potassium or phosphorus. Dissolve one tablespoon of fertilizer in a bucket of water. This amount is enough for one square meter of the area.
The third feeding is about 10 days after flowering. Fertilize also with phosphorus or potassium. In the period between each additional fertilizing, the plants are sprinkled with a solution of trace elements like "Semicvetica" or "Humat + 7".
Digging bulbs costs annually after all the leaves turn yellow, but not yet completely dry. Otherwise, the nest will just fall apart in the soil. Further the bulbs are washed, dried and stored at a temperature of +25 degrees.
